Where did the name 1 Light come from?
In 1995, Shawn began his freelance business as Lighthouse Design Studio because of his affinity for what lighthouses represent— salvation. After searching many names, he finally registered the domain name 1light.com. After a number of years with the same web site name, the business name was updated to match the domain name.

Shawn Nelson has been in business as a professional graphic designer in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex since 2000 and has been offering clients a wide variety of professional graphic, web, and creative business solutions for over 15 years.
1 Light Creative is located at 602 Strada Circle in Mansfield, TX (located in the Tuscan Office Suites).
In 2005, Shawn expanded his freelance graphic design business and started 1 Light Creative while working out of his house.

Ministry • Shawn also has over 13 years of graphic design and pastoral experience in Church Ministry - he understands the goals and strategies that make churches and para-church ministries effective. His heart for ministry gives him a unique perspective when it comes to helping churches reach a world in which imagery and marketing overwhelm our senses.
